22nd Annual Beaver Creek Art Festival - August 1-2, 2009

BEAVER CREEK ART FESTIVAL TO PAINT THE TOWN WITH $15 MILLION OF ART

Howard Alan Events, Producer of the Nation's Finest Juried Art Shows, Presents
The 22nd Annual Beaver Creek Art Festival
To Showcase Local and Nationally Recognized Artists

AVON, COLORADO (July 1, 2009) – The Beaver Creek Art Festival returns August 1-2, 2009, and will once again transform the Village of the Beaver Creek Resort into a first-class outdoor art gallery complete with 200 artists and $15 million in artwork available for sale.  Admission is free and open to the public.

Located in the Vail Valley, Beaver Creek Resort is a magnificent backdrop and host to the Annual Beaver Creek Art Festival.  This nationally ranked outdoor art festival is set-up around the resort and offers visitors a chance to meet with the artists personally, hear what inspires the artists and even commission an original piece of art. The artists, juried by an independent panel of expert judges, are hand-selected from hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity. All of their artwork is original and handmade in America. The artistic media represented include paintings, sculptures, photos, glass, wood, jewelry, collage, and ceramics.

The 22nd Annual Beaver Creek Art Festival makes the arts accessible to a broad audience. Prices range from $25 hand-designed earrings to $20,000 metal sculptures. The event appeals to family and friends as a free and fun weekend activity, as well as serious art buyers looking to add to their collections. Howard Alan comments, "In spite of today's economy people are still investing in art because art heals, art soothes; this is art that is handmade inAmerica."

Federation of Fly Fishers come to Loveland, Colorado

Loveland, Colorado – June 29, 2009---Fly fishers from across the United States and world are uniting July 28 – August 1 for the Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF) 44th annual International Fly Fishing Show and Conclave in Loveland, Colorado that is the premier event dedicated to the art and sport of fly fishing. The event features more than 80 workshops and clinics on casting, fly tying, on-water fishing techniques and other topics taught by well-known instructors. The fly fishing show features exhibits with the latest in gear, outfitters, conservation information and the Authors Booth.

The FFF Conclave has become the place to meet the most prominent authors in fly fishing.  This year is no exception with authors like John Gierach and Lefty Kreh awaiting you in the Authors Booth.  Other fly fishing authors in attendance will be Gretchen & Al Beatty, Ed Engle, Dave Whitlock, Richard Twarog, Roxanne & Terry Wilson, Frank Perkins, Landon Mayer, and Rosa Dierks.  Take a look at your home bookshelf for any of these authors' books and bring them to the Conclave for their signature. The Angling Bookstore will also be selling fly fishing books at the Conclave.

"This is a great chance to increase the value of your fly fishing books by adding the author's signature to them" says Lory Watkins the FFF Conclave Authors Booth Chairman.

Held at the Embassy Suites, Loveland, CO, day passes are available at registration for $5 that covers entry to the fly fishing show, Casting Rendezvous and other free demonstrations. There will be a FREE day on July 30th.  Fees vary for workshops, and participants must be a member of FFF. People may join during registration. Pre-registration online closes June 30, but registration is also on-site during the event.  For further information about Conclave and the Exhibit hall hours, visit www.federationconclave.org.
